EffCancer Fundraising Challenge

July as Sarcoma Awareness Month, the EffCancer group is aiding up to help raise funding towards Sarcoma Research.

Sarcoma is a rare soft tissue and bone cancer that is often found after it has already advanced. It represents 20% of childhood cancers and 1% of adult cancers. Unfortunately, there are a limited number of approved treatments available and a significant need for new and innovative therapies.

We are asking you to please help us help others. Increased awareness can lead to earlier diagnoses, better treatment, and more successful research. Very little funding goes towards sarcoma research, yet it is one of the most aggressive cancers.

EffCancer is the support group of Mathew Bauerle, who lost his battle to sarcoma November 23, 2016. We are now dedicated to living our lives maintaining his legacy. Despite the void left in his mother's heart after losing her son, Gita is committed to funding sarcoma research and currently building a foundation in Mathew's name. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to help start the Mathew W. K. Bauerle Foundation for Sarcoma Research.
