<div>Ik ben Julio Asensio en woon al 12 jaar met mijn vrouw Tessa van Hest en onze twee kinderen Daan en Sara in Culemborg. Ik kom van oorsprong uit Guatemala, waar ik mijn eigen restaurant runde. Maar de liefde bracht me naar Nederland.

<div>In het historische oude centrum van Culemborg krijg ik de mogelijkheid om een eetcafé over te nemen. Een unieke kans om mijn 25 jaar als (horeca)ondernemer en chef-kok in te zetten om mensen te laten genieten van heerlijk eten. Door aan te schuiven aan ‘La Mesa’ -de tafel- kunnen alle gasten mijn liefde en passie voor gerechten met een Latin touch zelf ervaren. Het wordt een geheel nieuw verleidelijk concept dat nog niet bestaat in Culemborg. In een warme en gezellige sfeer ontvang ik jong en oud om juist hun moment van de dag onvergetelijk te maken.

<div>Om mijn droom te realiseren heb ik als startbedrag 20.000 euro nodig vóór 1 april. (Dit is per vandaag 24-3-24 gelukt!!) Het totale bedrag dat ik met jullie lieve giften voor 1 juli hoop op te halen is 30.000 euro. Dit budget is nodig voor de overname en de aanschaf van o.a. nieuwe inventaris.

<div>To realize my dream, I need 20,000 euro to take over the existing restaurant before 1st April and another 10.000 euro to invest in new kitchen equipment. I will try to raise the total amount of 30,000 euro with crowd funding from now till the 1st July.

<div>Some close relatives have already promised me some substantial amounts, so I am optimistic that I can really start the restaurant. It will be named La Mesa  (= the table) offering you a celebration of flavours, a fusion of Latin-inspired dishes that are both delicious and nutritious.
