De verloren seconde is een autobiografische roman die over meer gaat dan seksueel misbruik. Het is een boek over hoe je met vallen en opstaan weer mens wordt. <strong>Naast haar eigen verhaal koppelt zij haar gebeurtenissen aan uitleg en theorie van onder andere de traumaseksuologie. De wetenschap die door Peter John Schouten is ontdekt. </strong>Ook praktijkvoorbeelden maken deel uit van dit boek. Een boek wat er moet komen voor slachtoffers, naasten en begeleiders van seksueel misbruik.

<div>De cijfers zijn hoog, 1 op de 3 vrouwen en 1 op de mannen. Seksueel misbruik gaat in elk hoekje en gaatje van je bestaan zitten. Met die boek krijg je inzichten, helpt bij verwerken (naast therapie en begeleiding) en ga je snappen waar het echt over gaat, belangrijk voor iedereen;)

<div>Ik weet precies wat nodig is vanuit mijn ervaringsdeskundigheid en mijn begeleiden van mensen. Duidelijke taal, plaatjes voor uitleg, geen doekjes erom heen winden, een eerlijk verhaal. Uitgeverijen willen het allemaal net anders.. .commercieler, educatiever, enz enz. Na vele contacten heb ik besloten ik ga het zelf doen.;)
