Maria’s Journey — Fighting Juvenile Dermatomyositis (JDM)
My 9-year-old daughter, Maria, was recently diagnosed with Juvenile Dermatomyositis, a rare autoimmune disease that attacks the muscles, skin, and sometimes internal organs. She is receiving treatment at Scottish Rite for Children and Children’s Health Dallas, including physical therapy and costly medications.
