EEDC 3rd Ward College Send - Off

The Emancipation Economic Development Council is hosting the first annual Third Ward College Send-Off at Emancipation Park for high school students who graduated in 2019 and live in the 77004 zip code.
This is a community acknowledgment for and celebration of the educational achievement of young people in historic Third Ward. We want to extend a relationship with students and parents to support college graduation as well as nurture a support system among students and parents.
Each registered student will receive a monetary gift and care package to assist with necessities.
Participating students must be entering their freshman year of college or trade/technical school. To register a participant, click HERE.
The Emancipation Economic Development Council (EEDC) is a collaborative of organized, informed and engaged faith-based organizations, nonprofits, community development corporations, businesses, local government entities and other stakeholders from the community.
