The Schenectady Belmont Pop Warner organization began in 1960. Since has grown into an association consisting of over 300 athletes and dozens of coaches and volunteers; who all believe youth sports programs help provide opportunities that will not only benefit the league but also our community. At every level, Schenectady Belmont Pop Warner seeks to develop well rounded young men and women who learn the fundamentals of football, cheerleading and dance but also the importance of education in a positive atmosphere beneficial to developing young minds. Our program helps to keep participants physically fit and teaches them important lessons including teamwork, perseverance, scholastic achievement and fair play.
Schenectady Belmont Pop Warner has earned several years of successes including nine Pop Warner Super Bowl championship titles. We also take great pride in having many of the players and cheerleaders going on to become scholar athletes and strong community activists. The organization mantra of 'hard work and dedication' was more recently displayed when the Jr. Midget football team won the 2014 American Conference Super Bowl played at Bleecker Stadium. Once again the Jr. Midget football team has proven thier hard work is paying off as they have earned their spot to compete in the 2015 Eastern Region Playoffs.
We are all very proud of this latest achievement and want to make certain all players and cheerleaders are able to participate in this event, however participating in a regional playoff game is extremely expensive. We understand times are tough economically for most families, we truly feel the intangible benefits our youths receive will be priceless. Our organization is self-supporting and rely on financial donations from the community in order to operate, participation in this event was not in our budget. Therefore we are asking for your assistance in our fundraising efforts by making a donation that will help us defray these upcoming costs. In addition with our 501c3 non-profit status yourdonat business donation is tax deductible.
