Edwin Estrada's Services

Edwin Estrada was shot and killed after the Marine Corps Ball. Many of the men and women who would like to go to the funeral and pay their respects simply cannot afford it. Services for any death are expensive and we are hoping to offset the cost to the family and friends. The money will be used to pay for the lodging for his Marines, food, plane tickets and whatever the family needs. The money left over will be given to his next of kin and they will do as they wish with it. We need the help as soon as possible because of the timing. The services begin on Thursday November 30th, and people need to purchase their flights, book hotels, rent vehicles etc. That's one week.

My goal is to have as many of his friends who wish to attend the services be able to. I spoke personally with the family and they have given me the blessing. I truly believe that there are more good people in this world rather than bad, and this is how I will prove it. 
 
We, his close friends, are to see that money is spent and managed well on right and justified causes. Group decisions will be made on large purchases. I have given specific orders to keep meticulous records of all the purchases. The prioritization of who will receive these plane tickets will depend on the amount of money we receive, and at which time. Once we have bought the tickets of people who truly can not afford this, we will extend an olive branch to more people we see fit to attend. Once we are at that point, information on how you can be one of the "Brother's Keeper" will be posted here. Again I cannot stress enough how much pressure we are under with time, anything you can give will help.


After Cain had murdered his brother Abel, God asked him where his brother was. Cain answered, “I know not; am I my brother's keeper?” - Well we are. We are our brother's keeper. I will not falter, I will not fail. In trying times like these, we will prevail.
