We (Ed’s colleagues and friends) were greatly saddened by Ed’s untimely passing and have set up this GoFundMe for the benefit of Ed’s family (Julie Thomas (Ed’s wife) and 3 children - Emily, MeKenna, and Edwin 3rd).
Ed’s impact on the people he met, even if they only knew him for a short time, was unmistakable. In reflections about Ed, many noted that he was a humble, approachable, and supportive leader and showed respect to everybody he met. He embodied a positive mindset in his passion for developing others and would often be heard saying that he “loved what he did”. This was reflected in the many comments from different folks about how he helped them in their careers. The positivity Ed exhibited was infectious, and was often cited in his approach to each day. These attributes, coupled with his can-do spirit has set an example that we will not only remember, but will try to emulate ourselves.
Ed will no doubt be greatly missed. Please consider donating to this fund in his memory for expenses related to his funeral, medical care, etc.
