Edward Uburtis (family fund)

On Saturday, August 23rd, 2020 we lost our son, brother, father, uncle, cousin and friend Edward A. Uburtis.  Eddie know to some as “Crazy Eddie” went home to be with the Lord on Saturday unexpectedly which was a shock to all of us.  As we spoke with Ryann and Katelyn to tell them the events of what happened it was one of the hardest things that we have ever had to do.  We all spoke about what we wanted people to remember their father for and the girls both said that he was an “Awesome Father” and my mom and I agreed he loved his girls with all his heart and would do anything for them.  He kept life fun for them enjoying every minute he spent with them.  The second thing that they both said about their father is that he was a servant.  Eddie was constantly helping others and would drop anything to drive someone to work, bring them to a meeting, bring someone to rehab, help a neighbor or friend who needed it sometimes even before they would ask for help.  Both girls know this and are very proud of their dad for it.  Another thing that the girls mentioned was that he loved his family.  His mother Beverly “Nana Bev” or aka “Marie” from Everyone Loves Raymond was his partner.  He was a wonderful brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to all.  It was suggested that I set up a fund to help with expenses that Nana Bev may occur in the raising of Ryann and keeping her home which has always been open to everyone in order.  If you feel you want to donate consider it Eddie asking for help now because he didn’t when he needed to, we would appreciate it.  More importantly, if you are struggling with addiction, please on behalf of our family and Eddie, please get help immediately.  Also, if you are a person who has struggled with addiction in the past and are doing well, please take Eddie’s lead and continue his plight to help others.  On behalf of our family thank you so much for your condolences.
