Edward Preciado Memorial Fund

Yesterday, on March 6th, my mother Linda Preciado and her husband Eddie, got up early and drove the 30 minutes it takes to get from Maricopa AZ, where they live, to Chandler for his chemotherapy treatment. They had been there the day previously for a 5 hour treatment but yesterday's would only be an hour and a half so they were able to have lunch together and do a little shopping for the upcoming Easter holiday. They came by our house after, so Eddie could help Tony with a problem he was having with the car. They fixed it and Eddie went home to rest while my mom and I went to do more shopping. When she got home she found that instead of resting Eddie had been decorating the house, including a bunny wreath on the front door and a a Happy Easter display on the garage. They started making dinner together, he chopping lettuce while she cooked chicken when he collapsed, hitting his head on the tile floor. She ran to him and began CPR while calling 911.
She then called me, crying uncontrollably and with everyone and all the cars out Alyssa and I had to run the 4 blocks to their house arriving to emergency vehicles filling their street, and a smoking pan of what was to have been their dinner sitting out on the ground, having been placed there by a first responder after being forgotten on the stove to burn in my moms panic.

Eddie suffered a massive heart attack. He passed on to eternity on the way to the hospital. He is now with the Lord.

Eddie was an extremely hard worker, holding down 2 jobs even though being recently diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma and going through Chemo.
Having been married for 23 years he was extremely devoted to my mom and would do anything for her or us because of her. This past Thursday he went with Tony to my grandson's very first T-ball practice and excitedly informed us that he had volunteered to be an umpire. He was looking forward to the upcoming games...
My mom is now faced with incredible grief as well as overwhelming expenses.
We have set up this fund to help with the funeral costs. This includes the expense of carrying his earthly remains back to Los Angeles CA so that extended family and friends can say their last goodbyes.
Any and all contributions are greatly appreciated.
Please help us by sharing this with friends and family.
