Edward Nelson's Funeral Costs

Donation protected
On March 1, 2018 Eddie was out with his girlfriend, and collapsed. The ambulance was called and he was brought to a hospital out in Prior Lake, and then was air lifted to the U of M. He was shocked 13 times to get his heart rate back to normal and to get him stable. We aren't really sure what happened they first thought it was a heart attack. We found out that that was not it because there was no new damage to his heart. At that point Eddie was put on a respirator and was being heavily sedated so that his heart didn't work on overdrive. He was put on bp meds because his bp was really low and they needed it to come up. Throughout the next couple days Eddie was showing signs of improvement. Every day he was seeming to get better and better, then we hit another hurdle, Eddie's right leg wasn't getting circulation and blood flow that it needed. They had to take him into surgery to get the veins moved around a little to get the blood flow or he was going to lose his leg. They were able to get back the circulation, but they had to keep a machine on his leg. Then a few days after that they were going to take the machine off but something happened (im sorry i cant remember what) but it caused them to do a CT scan of his heart lungs and brain. The brain CT was to make sure he didn't have any neurological deficits, and there wasn't ANY, but the CT showed that there was fluid on Eddie's lungs and around his heart. They kept him on the machines and sedated, however, through the sedation when we would go he would open his eyes and squeeze our hands, he was there. He was trying to take out the respirator tube soo many times, things were seemingly looking good/up. Then yesterday, March 9, 2018 Eddie was scheduled to take out the leg machine. He ended up with a fever that morning, and the instantly put him on Antibiotics. They pushed his surgery back to 4pm and they took him to surgery and took out the leg machine. After surgery everything was fine, good even. He didn't have a fever, he was showing signs of being able to get off the respirator within the next couple days as well. They said he had an 85% chance to get through everything where as earlier in the week they had said it was only 50/50.  At 11 pm, March 9, 2018 Linda got the call from the U of M nurse that Eddie started his spiritual journey. She said she went in to check on him and he was gone. They did everything they could, and we know it. It was a shock to EVERYONE even the doctors and nurses.  We need help for his funeral costs, we don't really know yet how much everything is going to cost, but we know funerals are expensive and we don't have money just lying around as all of us are on a fixed income. We paid all our bills already so we have no money to be able to pay for his funeral costs.  If you can help us out in any way even if it's only in prayer we would greatly appreciate it.  Eddie was one of the greatest people on earth, he was loved by many, and he loved everyone. Please pray for Linda, Edgar, Kevin, Darcie, Lindzie, Jerold, Evie, and Jr as this journey is going to be one of the toughest ones we have ever faced. THANK YOU ALL! Love to you all!
