This is for one of my favourite people in the world. Young Jemma came over to stay for the weekend at 12 years old as a foster child, for respite care. We connected from day one. Within a few months Jemma was living with us full time. Jemma stayed for the next 3.5 years.
Please note Jemma was estranged from her Father, disconnected from her very unwell Mother and separated from her 4 siblings at a young age.
We are still family now and have stayed in each other’s lives.
Jemma is going through a super tough time on her own with two children that she adores more than anything in the world.
Jemma has written the situation that has occurred below -
My son Heath, 6, was recently admitted to the hospital with headaches and weakness down his left side. Upon being admitted they discovered two brain tumours the size of 2 golf balls in his cerebellum and brain stem.
The doctors decided it best to do a surgery to remove most of one and biopsy it to reveal that it is a rare stage 5 form of cancer named glioblastoma with no known treatment for it. In a few weeks heath will undergo radiation with the hopes of reducing the tumour and give him a fighting chance to try experimental treatments as that is the only chance he has.
I am asking for support financially or otherwise to make this process alot easier for myself and for my son
Jemma and her children are going to be spending a lot of time in hospital. Please donate so that Jemma and her children can meet future financial needs.
