US Education for Salma

Salma was a my parent's foreign exchange student in 2013-14.  She is a Shia Imami Ismaili and from Pakistan. She was able to participate in the foreign exchange program through a grant opportunity.  This was a once in a lifetime adventure for Salma as her family would never have been able to afford to send her on this trip.  Salma has a bright and cheery spirit.  She comes from an area of the world where education for girls is not highly valued.  However, she knows how important it is to get an education so that she can ultimately give back to her community and family.    She completed high school in 2017 and attended a University in Pakistan for a degree to become a Physical Therapist(2017-18).  In 2018 she has applied to Viterbo Univesity and she started in the Fall of 2018.  She is majoring in Biology and dreams of a career related to medicine.   She has two renewable scholarships that help cut tuition cost in half.  Additionally, her living expenses will be provided for by my family.  In the fall of 2019 she accepted a position as a Resident Assistant which provides on campus housing and meal.  We successfully raised funds to pay for the 2018-19 & 2019-2020 school year. This couldn't have been done without the generosity of individual donations.  We ask you to continue to be generous with your giving and sharing of Salma's story.  In the 2020-21 school year Salma transferred to Christian Brothers University in Tennessee.  She has some additional financial opportunities here but still needs our help to pay for her tuition.  No amount is too small.  Please give and spread this campaign around.   We will take help from anyone willing to offer it from anywhere in the world.  If you'd like to make arrangements to provide funds outside of the GoFundMe system please contact myself or my parents.
