Education help for Ukrainian student in US

Hello, my name is Aidan Shue and I am setting up this Gofundme page to help my teammate who is from Ukraine and is trying to pay for her education because her parents are still in Ukraine trying to survive and can not financially support her. Here is some background about Sasha Melnyk.

She is a 17-year-old  international student from Ukraine who is currently studying in Findlay University (Ohio) and she is also part of the swim team as well.

 

Since the war in Ukraine started both of her parents lost their jobs, and they are currently still in Ukraine trying to survive. They don’t have any clothes or money left, because they had to run from their home in Kyiv which has been greatly damaged. She follows the news and sees all the places where she used to go are now in ruins. Her mental health is struggling by the immense stress about how to afford school and live on her own and worry everyday about her family, hoping that they are alive and safe. Right now her parents are trying to save money to pay for their rent and food while taking care of her younger sister and grandparents. They don’t have any money left for her education.

 

Tuition in at school is high, and her job on campus is not bringing her enough money to afford it. Please, it would mean so much to me and my family if you donate so that she can continue her education. She wants to continue earning her degree so she can finish school and earn money to help her family live the good life that they deserve.

My family will be taking care of Sasha over the summer. The money donated will go towards the tuition cost of the University.
