We still don't know exactly what happened. Many of us had great conversations with Sean as late as Friday night. When I got the message that told me he was gone, I didn't want to believe it. Prince fan, movie buff, and basketball fan, Sean had a love of life that was easy to see. He laid down to take a nap and didn't wake up. It is almost impossible to believe.
With the passing of our friend, Sean Hill, many of us continue to experience a pain that is difficult to describe. I can't even begin to imagine the impact on his young daughter, Palmer. Being a kid is hard enough with the guidance and support of both parents. Having one parent ripped away unexpectedly is a trauma that I can barely imagine.
Beyond the emotional pain is a very real financial reality. College is expensive and increasingly important for kids to have a real shot at a future.
So, in memory of Sean, his family and friends are establishing a trust to provide for Palmer's educational needs. We are planning this fund as a three-person trust to provide Palmer the opportunity to attend college with as few financial worries as possible. It is our plan to provide financial security to place a college education firmly in Palmer's reach. His family has asked that we donate to this campaign in lieu of flowers.
Sean loved Palmer fiercely. There is no doubt that he wants her to live the best life possible. Every dollar makes a difference. Thanks in advance for your help.
