"My mother would beat me and tell me she didn't want me or know me. I forgave her because she was sick. Now she is dead." (Girl. Aged 9. Now living at TOM)

Tanzania Orphans Mission (TOM) is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation that began six years ago. Situated in the village of Galijembe, Tanzania, TOM houses 70 children aged between four and eighteen. The team of carers at TOM, led by husband and wife Alexander and Nafsika, provide the orphans with 24 hour gated community care including; accommodation, medical care, education, clothes, talent development, counselling and employment opportunities.
Upon reading TOM's mission statement however, it is clear that the carers provide much more than just an improved lifestyle. The mission statement reads: "Impacting children's lives through a living God".
God is the center of care given to each child here at TOM. While they may be orphans here on earth, the children are made aware daily that they have a true father, the living God who loves and cares for them.

We as volunteers have seen and experienced first hand how much man power is needed to keep TOM going. But more importantly, TOM needs money to survive from day to day, as it is solely run by donations and sponsorships.
TOM has recently undertaken a new project. We have built a brand new school on campus! It is ready to go but needs funds to get it started and keep it going.


So here is where you can make a BIG difference!!
Donations of any kind will give these children the education they deserve. An education which will empower them to break the cycle of poverty and make a difference to their country.
The $30,000 that we raise will cover the expenses of the school for one year. It will pay for the teachers salaries, books, uniforms as well as provide the children with breakfast and lunch daily. If we are able to exceed this amount, it will mean that we can provide education and food to even more underprivileged children in the surrounding villages at our school.
