Eduardo's Medical Emergency Fund

Donation protected

Eduardo "Taco" Keane, a 2015 graduate of Brandeis University, went on a family vacation to Thailand in mid-June after visiting his sister in Singapore. While climbing in Thailand, a misstep caused him to fall, resulting in a skull fracture, multiple bodily injuries, and, ultimately, a coma.

Eduardo has always been a person dedicated to others. He is a caring friend who goes above and beyond to listen and be present when his friends are in need. His passion in progressing the medical field and helping others in any way can be felt by anyone he meets. He volunteered to help raise money for cancer as a leader of Relay for Life at Brandeis University, and took the time to teach his struggling friends about chemistry. Regardless of his own personal schedule, Eduardo will always make time to support a friend in need.

Eduardo always looks to expand his community, and was a key student ambassador in the Brandeis University office of admissions, constantly leading tours and information sessions for prospective students.  His yearning to help his community did not stop there as he became a key instructor for onboarding new admission volunteers, and ultimately a team coordinator for the department, eager to spread to others the love, attention and resources that Brandeis had given him.

After graduating, Eduardo secured a job that would help him continue to better others' lives by helping to optimize communication between healthcare providers through technology.

In all these ways, Eduardo has touched and continues to touch the lives of so many in countless ways. We only hope that we have the opportunity to help him in this time of need, as he has for so many before.

Eduardo is currently being treated for his condition in Miami, FL.  Any generous donations will be used to assist his family pay for his significant medical expenses that will be paid out of pocket.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for your generous support and prayer.  We will update this page with his story as it progresses.
