We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and generosity everyone has shown. To say we are thankful is an understatement! We have been informed that the cost will be higher than expected due to the need for a private autopsy so we have raised the goal.
Our beloved Edrika Fulford aka “Toots”suddenly passed on 3/3/22. She was our sister, mother, grandmother and friend who touched the lives of those around her. She leaves behind her son, Christopher Jelkes, her daughter Genesis Jelkes her two grandchildren, Chris and Jalen and her sister Michelle Beal as well as a many close colleagues and friends.
Edrika was dedicated to the very worthy cause of ending homelessness and recently became a staff member at The Chicago Coalition for the Homeless after many years of volunteer service.
We are all devastated by this loss and were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service. We want to give Toots the memorial she deserves, to honor her memory and say our last goodbyes.
We are currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of her funeral.
