Edna Duncan and Family

As most of you know Edna’s husband Thurman was diagnosed with MS years ago and it has been a struggle for them since. However, a few months ago the time came where Thurman was rushed to the hospital and was eventually released on hospice care and is now home waiting for his transition. He was (and still is very young) and when we are young we don't think of things such as life insurance, and in this case Thurman had none in place prior to his diagnosis. Edna had been the main bread winner of the family for the last several years as well as the care taker of her family and has now had to quit working in order to take care of her husband through his transition all while trying to keep her household running and still be an attentive mother to their two amazing children, Laura 15 and John 13 who are doing the best they can to live normal active teenage lives. Edna and Thurman have been together since they were teenagers and have been together for 22 years, so you can imagine the emotional toll this is taking on all of them, but above that there is a constant worry about finances right now. Just the basics are overwhelming. We know how hard it is for some of us to ask for help so when a friend reached out to me and suggested to start a Go Fund Me, I was beyond grateful that she brought it to my attention (Thank you Lori K. ) For those of you that have a personal relationship with Edna, please continue to reach out to her, call her, text her, even if she doesn't return the messages, she is struggling and is overwhelmed many days and even when there are times when she may not respond those messages and calls remind her she is not alone.
