Edivaldo's medical bill!

Edivaldo is a Brazilian national and my Father, he had come to Australia to support me as I was recovering from an accident 2 years ago.

He unfortunately suffered from severe Pneumonia last night (23/06/2023) which has resulted with him being hospitalized and ending up in Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

His health insurance through HCF has limited coverage (MBS minimal) and at the moment is not being recognised in the system so we are unsure how much coverage there actually will be.

We have been told that he will need to be in ICU until his levels have stabilised and his lungs have cleared with no clear date set on how long this will be.

The current quote provided by the Hospital is ~$4000/ night.

He is currently stable but still needs quite a bit of assistance breathing with oxygen tanks.

We don’t like doing this at all but if we could please ask for any support big or small during this time it would be very much appreciated to support his recovery and medical costs.
