Edge windows
Donation protected
On the night of December 25, the Edge has suffered their 3rd window break in of this year. There is no way to insure this, nor do we have proper funding to keep replacing broken windows. It has now escalated to almost $4000 in expenses for this year alone, money we could be using for way more important things, like replacing our old kiln, fixing floors, doors, air conditioning, getting more and much needed staff.
We have gotten some donations from you wonderful people already! (thank you Nora Fraser, Joy Taylor, Alexis Schmidt, Sam McIntyre) and have had several requests to start a "GoFundMe" campaign, so here it is.
The outpouring from the community has been great and thank you so much.
We are a tiny non-for profit art center, studios and gallery. We have over 60 members that use our studios, and many more students that take classes, other community members that use the gallery and other amenities. You can visit our website at www.edgevillage.com to see what we do and what we are about.
Basically we are not able to keep functioning the way we are if we have to pay for this many broken windows.
Been looking into alternatives, and will keep everyone posted, we will be replacing this window and looks like steel garage doors to close over at night, which is extremely costly, so we need some help with this. (with a beautiful mural painted by a local artist?)
