Eddie's surgeries

Eddie has an injury to his left rear cranial cruciate ligament which needs surgery to correct. Unfortunately, while diagnosing that injury, the vet has discovered that he also has some growths on his spleen which will require surgery to remove.  As much as it pains us to say it, both of those surgeries are very expensive so we can only afford one or the other, but not both. Our only other option is to have him put to sleep, which we absolutely do not want to do unless it's our last option. We desperately want to keep him, but without his quality of life being guaranteed it's not fair on him to do so. Please help if you can.
