Eddie & Anthony Harvey Relief Fund

Many of us are devastated by the news and the images of the flooding in Houston - and want to help. My friends Eddie and Anthony who live right next to the Atticks Reservoir have lost their home and all of their possessions. They have been told that it will probably be flooded for at least 3 months. They fled their home with the clothes on their back (and luckily their dog!) and just what they could grab as they ran out the door before the reservoir was opened. They have nowhere to live, they have no clothes, they have no semblance of normal.


Eddie worked with me for 3 years on the teen pregnancy prevention study we were doing in middle schools in Harris County. He was the key to the success of that project.  I am compelled to pull together memebers of our extended community to support him. Although I live in Long Beach CA, this has directy and indirectly touched so many of us.

If you want to put a personal face to the tragedy of Hurricane Harvey and do something to directly help one family rebuild their lives, please donate to their Relief Fund. These funds will help them secure temporaroy housing, purchase clothes, food and medicine to get them through the next 6 months. All monies raised are going directly to Eddie, he is the direct beneficiary of this fund.
