<div>Hello everyone! My brother Mark and I are creating this fundraiser to raise money to help our mom out with all of her existing and new medical bills.

<div>As many of you don’t know, since our mom is a very private person and doesn’t like much attention on her, she was diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer) in April 2024. She stayed in the hospital 2 separate times, both of them over 3 nights long. She also had to have 4 ERCPs, which was to place plastic stents inside of her bile ducts so that the bilirubin could drain out of her body properly. After all of those procedures, in order for chemo to begin, she then had to have a port placed. This occurred in July 2024. She then did 3 rounds of chemotherapy and immunotherapy starting in July. She worked throughout all of this and was even doing overtime. We weren’t sure if surgery was going to be an option or not, but thankfully the chemo worked the way we were all hoping it would. We always stayed hopeful and thankfully we found a surgeon down at Penn Hospital who was willing to do the surgery for our mom. On October 16, 2024, she had the surgery. The surgery took 8 hours; they removed half of her liver and one of her bile ducts. She then stayed down at Penn for 10 days post-surgery, and recovery was super rough. Our mom was not able to work for 3 months post-surgery. Starting in January, she had to start chemo pills just to make sure all of the disease was gone. Thankfully it was, and she went a whole year exact being cancer-free.

<div>Fast forward to October 16th (a year since surgery), we found out that our mom has been diagnosed again, with a different form of cancer. She had a CAT scan in August, and the radiologist saw some stuff that looked suspicious. Sadly enough, it was cancer. We thought she was in the clear so she was able to have her port removed, but now she has gotten her port put back in, and chemotherapy has begun. We don’t know how long she will be going through this, since surgery to remove the disease is not an option as of now. Also, since she had major abdominal surgery, she now has a hernia as well. Hopefully that will be fixed before the New Year. Our mom is still paying bills from last year, and she now has more that just keep piling up.

<div>Anything helps, even if you could just keep all of us in your prayers, especially our mom. We just don’t want her having to worry about all the medical bills that keep coming, especially when she is already going through enough. Thank you all❤️
