Ed's running for Lewisham Youth Theatre

On April 14 I'm running the Brighton Marathon in aid of Lewisham Youth Theatre. It'll be my 4th marathon - and if the last 3 are anything to go by - the last 5 miles will be painful. Very painful.
But it will be worth it if I can raise some cash for this small and amazing charity run by a wonderful team. I've been a trustee at Lewisham Youth Theatre for the last year. Each year LYT takes in over 700 kids - two thirds of whom come from deprived backgrounds - and allows them to realise their dreams.
It inspires young people's voices through free theatre activities, developing skills that boost life chances and long term well-being. At a time where crime affecting young people seems to be on the rise across the UK, LYT offers kids a place where they are safe, free to express themselves and push their artistic boundaries.
And it brings young people together from across Lewisham's diverse communities to create outstanding performances... if you're ever in the area please come to Catford Broadway and watch a show - the kids are amazing, inspiring and whatever our current political shambles - they'll give you faith in the future.
