Ed Zapert Scholarship

Dr. Edward Zapert, passed away July 25, 2019 after spending more than 30 years of his life in public health dentistry. He worked for the Florida Department of Health providing dental services to families in need. He was a beloved son, brother, father, friend, co-worker, guitarist and respected dentist.

He served the state of Florida as the Florida Department of Health in Leon County Dental Director. He helped oversee the building of a new state of the art Dental Clinic affectionately called the Molar Express. He also served later on in his career as the Florida Department of Health, Statewide Dental Executive Director from 2013 to 2019. His passion for his family, public health, dentistry and music was known by his family, friends and colleagues around the nation.

His kindhearted, jovial and giving spirit will be greatly missed. If you knew him, chances are he made you smile at least once. He would have enjoyed the opportunity to oversee a scholarship for dental students. Therefore, since he departed from us so unexpectedly and suddenly please join us his family, friends and colleagues in raising money for this cause, in which he believed in so much.  Funds will be raised and provided to dental students looking to fulfill their dreams.
