Ed Mallett's Battle with cancer

As many of you might be aware; I'm currently going through a battle with cancer.

In December of this past year I suffered a stroke which we thought was from a heart problem that after research and tests showed no answers. In February I wound up in the Emergency Room with extreme abdominal pain.
After the several tests that followed this incident, the tests showed that I had a 7.2cm lesion on my left kidney. 
This was found to have spread to my spine as bone cancer in 2 places and my brain as a tumor which had in fact caused my stroke and also has left shadowing in my right lung.

The brain surgery that I've had has been a remarkable success and things are going according to the plan that myself and the wonderful team of medical experts at University of Pennsylvania have come up with as the best way to proceed with these multiple ailments and treatments simultaneously.

As I'm sure you are aware this kind of medical care comes at a considerable cost. Insurance is a blessing but unfortunately it only covers so much. Disability income will come in but not for quite a while and the time in between is when I'm going to need some help from all of my friends and family.

Anything helps. Everything helps. I have all the confidence in the world that I will be able to conquer these obstacles that have been placed in front of me and my family.
