Ecuador Coronavirus relief fund
My name is Marlina Vera. I am an artist born in Guayaquil Ecuador and presently residing in Boca Raton, Florida USA.
My Country has been deeply affected by the coronavirus. Ecuador is struggling to cope with the overwhelming death toll. At this moment Guayaquil is the hardest city hit by the virus in South America. Due to the rising number of deaths, Public Services are been overloaded to a point of collapse. Hospitals are now lacking beds, morgues, cemeteries and funeral homes are straining. This is why families are forced to leave their deceased loved ones on the streets.
The number of people dying is increasing day by day. They are asked to remain inside their homes to avoid getting infected, however many of them live in poverty. They need to work daily in order to bring food to their families. These individuals live check to check and can not afford to stock food for even a day. Many families don't have enough food to
eat while in quarantine right now.
This is the CNN video report on the current situation in Ecuador:

The purpose of this campaign is to bring food to those in need. Your donation will go to a Supermarket fund where it will be distributed equally to the major supermarkets. Each supermarket is preparing basic food kits and distributing them for free to the people in need with the help of the Police and the Military services.
Here is the link to the organization in Ecuador where I will donate the money collected.
The name is: "Dar una Mano sin dar la Mano" (Give a hand without shaking hands)

This is what your donation will buy:
- A $10 kit with basic food will feed a family of 2 for a few days.
- A $20 kit with basic food will feed a family of 4 for a few days.
Any amount you donate will be really appreciated. The organization is trying to provide 1 million food kits.
In addition to this fundraiser, I am also personally donating 30% of the profits made from the sales of my paintings
through my website: http://www.marlinavera.com I will send you a receipt of the donation made to the same organization once payment is received.
Thank you so very much for reaching out to help those in need.
