Iowa or Bust!

Atypical HUS is a very rare and life threatening disease. An over active complement system causes the body to attack it's own red blood cells causing kidney failure, liver, heart and brain damage. It's effects can be devastating and proper diagnosis and treatment is crucial. Blake and Jake are two boys that have this disease but still need further diagnostic testing and then access to the drug Soliris.
The Univeristy of Iowa is holding a conference on this disease for patients, parents, and caregivers. The many brilliant and talented doctors will be there to help families understand this disease. There will also be genetic testing available for those still in need.
These two rock star boys need to get to Iowa! Please donate to help cover travel and medical expenses for these boys so their amazing moms can get them the help they need!
Thank you!!
