Echo’s Eye Surgery

My boyfriend and I adopted our sweet little girl Echo almost a year ago. She came from an accident litter our friends’ dogs had where the mom was a rescue (poodle mix) mutt and her dad was a cocker spaniel. Together that made our precious girl, and we would do anything for her.

Unfortunately, cocker spaniels are known for having an eye condition called cherry eye, which essentially is inflammation of their third eyelid. Although it is completely treatable through surgery, it is also costly.

A month ago Echo had cherry eye in her right eye. We were so blessed that our vet is a good friend that knew our situation, and gave us a discount so that we could afford her surgery. However, now her other eye has become inflamed with cherry eye and our amazing vet just retired.

My boyfriend and I moved back in with his parents to save money. I (her mom) am a full time nursing student and my boyfriend (her dad) helps his father with his family owned business. Under normal circumstances we would be able to borrow money from his parents to pay for another surgery, but my boyfriend was recently diagnosed with Chron’s Disease. Between his doctors visits and 4 days in the hospital, they are inundated with medical bills, and we simply cannot imagine asking them to help us right now.

SO... I am turning to any kind human who is willing to spare some change to help us get Echo the medical care she needs. We love her to pieces but right now, she needs a little more than that. I am not sure if anyone will ever see this, but if you do and you have the means, we would appreciate ANY amount you are able to donate.

Thank you for reading, feel free to reach out to me any time.

Love,
Echo and her humans
