Mason’s Medical Fund

As many may already know, my nephew, Mason has a lot of medical needs. To sum it up, he had a stroke before he could walk and now has had seizures nonstop since he was two. Mason and his family have delt with continuous tests and hospitalizations over the last four years with what seems like no end in sight. Now that doctors have determined that medications and all other forms of treatments have not been successful, he is now scheduled for two separate major brain surgeries that are less than three weeks away.

 

Mason does have very good medical insurance that we are thankful for, but it does not cover: 100% of his medical bills, copays, medications, medical equipment and even some forms of therapy he will need. Mason is going into this hospitalization with several outstanding medical bills as it is with no clear idea of how much more is to come. Mason’s mom will be taking an extended leave from work to be able to stay in the hospital with him while he goes through his surgeries and will be staying home with him to care for him during his recovery. We understand that this year has been tough for everyone especially given the current pandemic. Mason and his parents have a lot ahead of them to worry about and we are hoping to help them out a little with helping pay for some of Mason’s medical bills and paying for anything he may need while in the hospital and when he can be discharged home. 

 

The money will only be used to cover Mason’s expenses. Anything left over will be directly donated to Make a Wish and Give Kids the World Village as they are who helped provide the family with some hope over the years.
