IN LOVING MEMORY OF SGT. KEATING

The Keating family needs your help in raising funds for Chris (Patrick Keating) who is battling stage 4 lung cancer caused by Mesothelioma . Chris joined the U.S Army in 2008 and deployed to Iraq in 2009 for Operation Enduring Iraqi freedom. While deployed he suffered from a Traumatic brain injury (TBI) from an accident while on patrol in a local village. He returned home to his wife and 3 small children to recover from his injury. In 2013 Chris received an honorable discharge from the Army as Sergant. The Keating family then moved back home to Illinois to start the next chapter in their lives, but then on June 14, 2014 Chris received devasating news that changed his life. Chris was diagnosed with a rare form of lung cancer and began treatment right away. With this horrible new's shocking the entire Keating family, Lauren, (Chris' wife) Has been left responsible to pick up the peices NOT only emotionally with her ailing husband and three young children, but also with finances... As a former Soldier, (and I say "former" lightly... Once a soldier always a soldier, HOOAH!)  things are tight in every aspect. Driving to the hospital for treatments, taking care of the children, and doing everything she can to ensure Chris' comfort has been a lot for Lauren to handle. (It's too much for anyone to handle). At this point, Lauren is not asking for help, HER FRIENDS are asking, because they know that she needs it, but proud and strong she continues to bare the load alone. At this moment, Chris is not doing very well, He has been admitted to the ICU at Marion VA hospital with stage 4 Mesothelioma and is Tachycardic. The Doctors are doing what they can to get his heart rate under controll. At last noting the tumor has reached 75 mil. by 60 mil. Aside from prayers, we definitely need to raise as much as we can to help this amazing family and if for nothing more than to show them that things will get better and people do care. Please help us lift some of this burden from this family!
