I need a favor.

I broke my ankle while riding my e-bike and I am admitted to the hospital. It's pretty serious as they have to put metal braces and conduct multiple surgeries.

I'm nervous about the expenses. I am not in a position to go to India yet. I don't want to depend on my parents either.

I have some money saved up, but if you can contribute to my GoFundMe, it will be really helpful. Once I start working again, I can pay back the GoFundMe.

I have not informed my parents yet since they panic and for their age.

My wife and I are both on contract jobs as a postdoc and research assistant. We make enough to get by with monthly expenses and some remaining. We will plan properly to repay.

I usually don't ask people for money but hadn't expected this to happen.

It's not a guarantee that I will use the GoFundMe amount. I need it as a backup.
