On Thursday, November 8, my cousins life was changed forever. She had just dropped two children off at school, when she got information about a fast-moving fire headed their way. She quickly grabbed her kids and just a few belongings from her home and left for safety. Her husband, Rob is a law-enforcement officer in Paradise California, so he was unable to help because he was helping the community. It breaks my heart to say, that they have lost everything. Their home, their vehicles, and all the memories. Yes they are safe, and we praise God for that. Now they must start completely over. The first picture shown is the picture of their home, and what’s left of it.
Not only did they lose their first home, but Jenifer’s mother lost her home, her brother who is also in law enforcement, and his wife, lost their home, and so did the remaining family they had in Paradise. It’s total devastation up there. The Nichols family has nowhere to turn.
My cousin Jennifer would never ask for anything from anyone. She is the most humble and kind person I know. Right now her family needs help, she is unable to work, and has absolutely nothing, except the clothes on her back. Her children are terrified and have lost all their toys, stuffed animals, and everything else a child loves.
Her brave husband, Rob is a sergeant for Paradise PD. As I am writing this, he isn’t with his family. He is in his community, trying to help find lost family members and locating bodies. He truly is a hero and this family needs this love and support, desperately.
At this time, anything will help this sweet family. I am headed up there Monday and can bring food,water, and toys. So if you would like to donate that way, please contact me through Facebook or this service. I would be happy to pick up any donations for their family. I pray this family receives the help they need. Thank you!
