EBC Haiti Earthquake 2021 Relief

Once again, Haiti has been devastated by a 7.2 magnitude earthquake that hit the country on August 14th, 2021, especially the southern part of the country. As you may know, this country had already been through a lot this year: President was assassinated; hundreds of people displaced by violent gangs, just to name these.

 
In an effort to assist the Haitian people affected by this disaster, and as we have done in the past, Eglise Baptiste du Calvaire, the largest Haitian church organization in the District of  Columbia Maryland and Virginia (DMV) area, which has been serving the community for over 39 years, is ready to assist in the relief efforts. For that purpose, a GoFundMe page has been set up to collect donations to help those in need.


We are teaming up with our partner on the ground in Haiti: the Mission Evangélique Baptiste du Sud d’Haïti (MEBSH), the largest religious organization in Haiti and headquartered in the South, Grand Anse and Nippes departments, where the earthquake caused considerable damages, including several hundred deaths.

 
The MEBSH mission has all the logistical infrastructure in place in all three departments including churches, schools, clinics and hospitals.
