<div>In mid-December 2022, our dear friend Jess went to the ER with serious abdominal pain. She and her husband, Chris, were given a tough diagnosis: Stage IV metastatic colon cancer. After an emergency surgery to give her some pain relief, she is now preparing for the next phase. Over the next three months, Jess will be undergoing chemotherapy and other treatments to fight a very serious form of cancer.

<div>The medical bills are already piling up and many of the treatments and promising cancer management approaches aren’t covered by her insurance. With reduced income and health insurance limitations, the financial strain will be significant and overwhelming.
