I am reaching out to friends and family on behalf of the Eaton family – KR, Brittany, Jackson, and Carter – to help raise money to assist in their expenses for their newest family addition, Carter Layne. A little about Carter:
Carter Layne Eaton was born on November 11th, 2014 at the Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins, GA. When he arrived, the family learned that Carter would have a tough journey ahead before getting to come home and hang out with big brother. Shortly after delivery, Carter was taken to the Children’s Hospital in Macon, where Doctors diagnosed him with a recessed jaw that was causing restrictions to his airway. To get Carter the help he needed, he was moved to Scottish Rite Hospital in Atlanta, where he is currently. Since being moved to Atlanta, Carter has undergone 2 surgeries including a tracheotomy to open his airway and a procedure to add extenders into his jaw to help push the jaw forward out of the airway. So far he is showing great improvement and always seems to know when his family is there with him. He still has to undergo an eye surgery in the next couple of weeks to remove a spot that is blocking his vision, and in that time we should know more about how the jaw extensions are working.
