<div><strong>I lost my childhood homes of 52 years in the Eaton Fire in Altadena, California on 1/7/25.</strong> I was literally born in the front house. My grandmother and great-grandmother lived in the back 1915 farmhouse. I spent many happy days in these homes and in the vast yard with grapevines, mature citrus trees from the early orchards, and interacting with neighbors. I spent the past few months walking with my elderly neighbor (who has dementia) almost daily and chatting with neighbors we encountered along the way.

<div>Many friends and acquaintances have been so very kind as to reach out and ask how they can help me during this extremely challenging time. <strong>I escaped with only the clothes on my back and a couple of changes, a few important documents, and my cats (my babies).</strong> Everything else is gone. I can use many essentials to start with. Anything is much appreciated, even just good vibes/prayers for my future as I continue on my journey in the community I love.
