Eaton Fire Relief for the Cotto Family
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Xochitl, and I’m a parent at Aveson. My kids go to school with Aidan, and as a community, we want to come together to support Aidan, his mom Dian, and his dad, Cris during this incredibly difficult time. Aidan not only lost his home, but we lost our school as well.
The Eaton Canyon Fire destroyed everything Aidan and his family had—their home, their belongings, and most importantly, the safe space they had built for their autistic son, who also has ADHD. For Aidan, their home wasn’t just a place to live—it was his sanctuary, where he felt safe and secure in a world that can often be overwhelming.
Losing that space has been devastating. Aidan is now struggling to adjust to so many sudden changes, and it’s heartbreaking to see him navigating these challenges without the sense of comfort and safety he relied on. His family is doing everything they can to support him while trying to rebuild their lives from scratch.
The fire took more than just possessions—it took away a sense of security and stability that they had worked so hard to create. Every day is a challenge as they try to create a new normal for Aidan while figuring out how to rebuild their home and lives.
We are asking for your help to provide them with the support they desperately need. The funds raised will go directly toward:
1. Unexpected costs to get back on their feet.
2. Funds to help them through this transition.
3. Creating a new sensory-friendly safe space for Aidan
4. Replacing essential belongings for the family
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference in helping this family rebuild their lives and provide Aidan with the comfort and stability he needs. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing their story so we can reach as many people as possible.
Let’s come together as a community to help Aidan and his family find hope and healing during this incredibly challenging time.
Thank you so much for your kindness, generosity, and support.
With gratitude,
Xochitl and the Aveson Community
