Easton’s Early Arrival Fund
Donation protected
On Saturday, October 17th my sister, Alyssa, unexpectedly gave birth to her and Josh’s son, Easton Martin Olerud. Alyssa was 29 weeks pregnant at the time and had been planning for the due date of December 31st.
Easton is a fighter but because of how premature he is, he was immediately airlifted to the NICU at the Children’s Hospital of St Louis which is about two hours away from where they live in Illinois. He is looking at a ten week stay in the NICU so he can learn to eat and breathe on his own... but most importantly grow!
Alyssa and Josh have been told that the most likely scenario is that Easton will be allowed to go home on or around his due date. For the time being, they are relocating to St Louis to be with Easton until the day they can finally bring him home (hopefully before Christmas!)
A lot of people have reached out to ask what and how they can help Alyssa, Josh and baby Easton on the long road to health. Our family wants to make the Olerud family’s life less stressful throughout this process and have started this fundraiser with that in mind. The assistance will help Alyssa and Josh with hospital bills, food and lodging in St Louis and all the other things this adventure will throw at them.
Thank you for helping in any way you can and for your love and prayers. If the first 72 hours say anything about Easton, it’s that he is a fighter and loves his Mom and Dad.
