EDPR Dogs in need

You may have seen in the news or read on Facebook the story of the 60+ puppies and 3 mom dogs (one heavily pregnant that went into labor today, another malnourished, the third with 6 week old babies) who were rescued by the East Dallas Pet Rescue.
The miracle is that these dogs are alive and have a fighting chance at survival, but they need a little bit of help. The shelter they came from is severely over-crowded and under-funded, thanks to a generous group of people who worked round the clock to bring them from Texarkana to Dallas in search of a new life, these puppies will not be losing the battle to illnesses there.
But the happiness doesn't quite start there.
Over half of them have upper respiratory infections and are in desperate need of medications, deworming, food, and, most of all, caring foster homes and forever homes.
Most of our fosters saw the danger facing these lethargic pups and have been at the vet all day after only receiving them late last night, 2 of those babies who have tested positive for parvo virus, and another 2 being watched closely as they were from the same litter majority of our fosters today were at the vet with these sick puppies. One of the mama dogs is unable to nurse due to severe malnutrition, and upper respiratory infection she is pressing on without several of her babies as they didn't survive so young and without proper care for so long. We have another mama dog on top of that who has just given birth to 9 puppies, after transporting her here with the rest of the puppies, one more pregant mama due anytime now.
$39 goes a long way in a donation to these dogs. It pays for a parvo test- a much needed precaution for these tired babies. $60 covers a veterinary visit for dogs that have never been seen one-on-one by a professional that cares. $100 helps a foster family provide food, shelter, and care for many who have never felt grass beneath their feet or known the feel of a loving hand rubbing their belly. They are all so grateful for their second chance at life- please help however you can to make this chance a good one for them
