My name is Kennia, and I am reaching out for support during one of the most difficult times my family has ever faced. Recently, my parents were detained by ICE, and since then, I have become the sole person responsible for keeping our family together. With my older brother being deaf and my younger brother still needing care, the weight of managing everything has fallen on my shoulders. On top of all this, I am also trying to balance school and work, which makes things even more challenging. Every day is a struggle to keep up with the mounting legal fees for my parents, as well as our household bills and other urgent payments. The stress and responsibility can feel overwhelming, but I am determined to do everything I can for my family.
