Easa and Maryam's new Chairs

Friends -

Please join me in helping Eesa and Maryam obtain wheel chairs and medical equipment that will help improve their lives and the life of their family.   They moved to the United States from Pakistan just two years ago in order to get help for their medical conditions.  They have yet been able to obtain the equipment they need. 

Eesa has Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type III. He is only able to walk with difficulty 20-30 feet before he needs to rest.  He is in need of a power wheelchair so that he can move about school without the assistance of another person.  

Maryam has Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type II. Maryam has a more severe form of the disease, and cannot sit unaided and has difficulty getting her head up if it slumps. She is also unable to walk.  She was recently discharged from Texas Children's hospital after a 11 day stay in the ICU due to respiratory illness (pneumonia).


We would love for them to get their own powered wheelchairs in order for them to get a sense of freedom and mobility that other kids have.

Maryam would need additional tools such as a stander, an activity chair and something which will make it easier for her to take a shower/bath. 

Every dollar matters - nothing is too small!
