In Asinan (Matanao Davao del Sur) Philippines, my wife's home village in the mountains, three 6.5 - 6.8 magnitude Earthquakes in two weeks plus dozens of after shocks have destroyed their houses, schools and stores; Asinan was only 20 km from the epicenter and along the fault line. Her family and friends are stranded outside their broken houses living in makeshift tents without enough food, water, medicine and other necessities of life, and threatened by torrential rains and likelihood of deadly landslides. The government/army is too preoccupied and overextended with giving relief to the cities that are extensively damaged, so relief to Asinan and surrounding villages is inadequate. Realistically more than $25,000 is needed as soon as possible to provide enough food, water, medicine etc. for all in the village in the short term, but any amount no matter how small is a big help for my wife's family/friends and much appreciated.
