Muslim Americans for Compassion (MAC) is planning to host two Iftar dinners and provide food and supplies for earthquake ravaged Southern Turkey. The first Iftar dinner is tentatively planned for April 2 in Hatay, and the second Iftar dinner will be on April 9 in Adiyaman. Moreover, food supplies for 3-4 weeks and gas tubes for cooking will also be provided to tent camps in the Adiyaman, Antakya, Hassa, Iskenderun and Samandag areas.

MAC physicians Muhammad Babar and Sajjad Jameel recently visited Turkey to directly help citizens in need. They realized during their trip that many will need assistance for a long time including throughout the holy month of Ramadan. Therefore, we are raising money to continue to support those in need while folks are trying to rebuild their lives after losing their belongings and loved ones in the devastating earthquake and aftershocks.

All funds from this GoFundMe will go directly to supporting those affected by the earthquakes.

The estimated cost for Iftar per person is $3 and a food package plus gas tube is $45. Please support these families in need with your kind donations including Sadaqa and Zakat contributions. MAC volunteers in Turkey will distribute it themselves with no overhead expenses to ensure that every penny of donations goes to those who are in dire need of assistance
