Bhachek is a village situated in the northern part of Gorkha district of Nepal. It is beautiful village but collapsed after the massive 2015 earthquake. Bhachek is located next to 2015 earthquake epicenter Barpak.
April 25, 2015 became a black day for whole country and Bhachhek was one of the mostly injured at that moment. Our houses felt down but not our will-power. It stands always as high as our mountains. We recovered and we are recovering from the physical, psychological and economical loss we had from earthquake.
As a rescue member of Himalayan Rescue Association (HRA), I was actively participated in the rescue and recovery activities after the 2015 earthquake. I have seen the loss, broken houses, broken hearts and whole devastating situation the natural calamity created. We all accepted that but at a same time I thought we should be aware of such natural calamities that may happen any time. I had a strong desire at that moment to do something for my village that will be helpful for the villagers and also can support during such urgency.
Medical ambulance is what we need most during any unforeseen situation or accident. There is no any arrangement of such ambulance in my village. I put $1,111.00 on my birthday Jan 29, 2018 and raising $10,000.00 more to purchase an ambulance. The total estimated amount is $15,000 and my team from Bhachek village; Gorkha in Nepal is going through legal procedure with Nepal government.
The Ambulance will be handover to the local health post for the regular operation.
I appeal all my friend and good-hearted people to contribute with your generosity whatever you can. Every penny counts and it will make a big difference in the community.
