Who we are
EARTH CREW 2000 ANNOUNCES THE MAKE OVER OF
 THE “UNDISCOVERED AMERICA”  MURAL
IN DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES ARTS DISTRICT

 History
After 25 years we are renewing our historic mural in the LA Art District! This mural, was painted in 1992 by Earth Crew 2000, a collective of graffiti crews who came together through a TEKIO youth project and wanted to acknowledge the greatness of the ancestral cultures that had resided and still reside in the Americas today.

Why we need the funds
Over the years the wall has endured wear and tear and vandalism.  This has been a mural that has been in Los Angeles for more then 20 years and we are asking for the support of the community to join us in keeping this great work alive.

(Above you can see where there has been severe tagging to the wall.  This can be seen across the mural.  The goal now is to renew in restoring some of the original images as well as new images that the artist are coming together to create to honor thier ancestors).

Why this is important to the community?

The wall is dedicated to various indignous cultures from North America to South America.  It focuses on the ancestral teachings of these great cultures and stands as a reminder that the indigneous cultures still live in Los Angeles and have not been forgotten.  This is important as it is a mural that is living History and something that all cultures can learn from.

 Why we need your support
This is a wall for the community and we have very little funding from outside sources and up to this point have been funding it out of our pockets and will be able to get the equipment and supplies we need to complete this task with your help.

What your contribution will provide
With your support you will be providing paint, supplies, and lighting to help illuminate this beautiful piece to be on display in the heart of the Arts district so the community can enjoy it at night.  Having been painted so long ago the time has come to modernize to the other murals that are on display in the Arts district.

Below is a photo of Chief Phil Lane with Candido Mezua and Guiseppe valdez infront of the wall with one of the artist.
