Since 1979, Earth Animal has been dedicated to caring for animals, people and the Earth. We’ve called Westport, CT our home for over 40 years, and we believe we can offer support and resources, and give back to the many local families in need. Since the pandemic, the need for food in our communities is greater today than ever before. The unexpected consequence of COVID-19 and the loss of jobs and income has resulted in an enormous increase in the number of people that are food insecure. This means 490,000 people, including 131,000 children, have turned to The Connecticut Food Bank for the first time. The CFB has provided 47 million meals in the past year, for people of all walks of life-children, working parents, seniors or people living with disabilities. They are our neighbors. It is time for Action and Change. Even in a state as wealthy as Connecticut, there is a huge need for assistance. Earth Animal’s Mitten Project™ has offered support to the CFB, and this year we are on a mission to help more than ever. What can you do to help? Come into Earth Animal and purchase a $5 mitten or donate to this gofundme today. Earth Animal will match dollar-for-dollar to make an even bigger impact for local families. Last year we raised $38,000. Our goal is to surpass this amount. According to Merritt and Abbey Goldstein, “Our loyal customers are generous in spirit. For 14 years, the Mitten Project efforts have been astounding and I know together, we will all rise to the occasion to help our neighbors.” Thanks to compassionate and exceptionally generous friends like you, we will be able to make a huge local impact. Please know in your hearts that you have helped struggling families. They now have somewhere to turn. Be well, Merritt & Abbey Goldstein
