EARS NEEDS A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE!!

Ears is one of the sweetest village dogs in Baan Naklang, Mae Chaem district, about 5 hours drive from Chiang Mai and the site of our elephant project, Kindred Spirit Elephant Sanctuary. Ears had been diagnosed with TVT, a type of cancer in dogs and received treatment for this at a foundation which he didn’t respond to. We then had to take him to a private hospital to get further analysis and treatment plans where they discovered that he may have a different type of granular tumor, but a biopsy will be needed in order to confirm. Regardless, in order to treat this, he will need multiple levels of treatment, in which the costs will be adding up.
Right now, at Kindred Spirit Elephant Sanctuary, we have been unable to open since March and the only funds we have coming through are donations from generous members of the public. We have been using these funds to support our elephants and mahouts over this crisis period, as well as helping to feed the 60+ elephants that are in our area right now due to the closure of tourism. There is no end in sight for this pandemic, are our constant fundraising is a struggle.
With all this in mind, we are unable to cover his costs by our foundation and we really do need to do this separate fundraising in order for him to survive this and come home. We have already had to cover his first visit at the hospital upfront, and we also need to cover his food and transport costs for his foster family in the city who have kindly agreed to take him in whilst he is receiving treatment, since we are based so far away.

Food and transport: 2,000THB / £50
Biopsy for diagnosis: 5000THB / £130
Estimated further treatment: 20,000THB / £500
We really do need a Christmas Miracle for this sweetheart, he deserves to come home and continue living his life to the fullest! Please do consider a donation so that we can begin this treatment ASAP, big or small it will really go a long way for him xx
