Waukesha Christmas Parade Attack victim

For those of you unfamiliar with Olivia’s story, we are creating a new, simplified description of Olivia and the trauma she has endured.  Olivia is eight years old and in the 3rd grade at Waukesha Catholic School System.  She’s full of life, has a HUGE heart, and is a joy to be around.
She loves school, dancing, her friends, and animals (especially her dog Mary).
Olivia’s life took a tragic turn on November 21, 2021. She was doing something she’d done before and looked forward to every year.  She was performing with her dance teammates in the Waukesha Christmas Parade.  Without warning, a speeding SUV drove thru the parade, intentionally hitting Olivia and many others. She suffered two separate bleeds to her brain, a broken ankle, broken toe, road rash, and other minor injuries.  Olivia endured a total of 12 days in the hospital recovering. Upon release she has had to begin the long road of rehabilitation, both physically and psychologically.
The prayers, encouragement, and support she has received have been overwhelming.  And her physical recovery thus far has been an amazing example of the power of prayer.  However, her recovery is just getting started and complete mental and physical healing will be a long, taxing road. The doctors say this will be a marathon in which she will need the help of many.  This amazing little girl has had a chunk of her life, her innocence, taken from her for no reason at eight years old.
The Stover family will be incurring large medical costs associated with her care due to this tragic event.  Any donations will go directly toward her current and future care and a long way toward helping this special little girl and her family.
Her cast from the ankle surgery has come off and she is excited to be free of the walking boot in the coming weeks.
Olivia is saving every $dollar$ she can right now for her upcoming trip to Walt Disney World.  She is not medically cleared to dance yet but will be going to Disney to watch and support her performing teammates.
She cannot wait to send more photos, updates, and thanks as she begins her long road of therapies, counseling, and complete physical and psychological recovery.

If anyone that has questions about this account please feel free to message me. Once again my husband and I are long time friends of Olivia's parents. Also, we were asked by the family to organize this. Thank you for all the shares & donations. Please keep Olivia in you thoughts and prayers!
